So.
"CONTEXT" I've gotten tired of not being able to play games on my little (but amazing for productivity) laptop. So recently I've been looking for ways to upgrade it and my consensus is that the best/only way to do so is connect a GPU through the WIFI card slot.

My QUESTIONS are. Not being familiar with laptop upgrades. Once I hook up my graphics card am I even able to disable the built in Graphics, I've done it on desktop and whatever, just checking to be safe.

How expensive can I go with graphics cards before I get a bottle neck somewhere?

Ryzen 5 2500u with Vega 8 Mobile
8 Gigs of ram (Going to upgrade to 16)

I also saw that apparently HP have something against people plugging things into their computer, so context on that would be appreciated
-Cheers!

This is what is known as an eGPU.
That is a long, potentially expensive, road to go down, and requires significant investigation.

Not as simple as just plugging a desktop level GPU into the WiFi card slot.

Recommended solution:
Sell the thing you have, and buy a desktop or laptop that will actually meet your gaming needs.
