hello
so i have been saving money and i have $860 us dolars, im not from the US im from souith america, so is kind of expensive here.

i want to change my:

i7 2600 non k
cooler master evo 212
asus maximus formula 5
12 gb ddr3
seasonic seasonic s12iii 620 80 plus bronze
gtx 1060 3gb msi
thermaltake v3 case is old but it does the job in the futur i will buy another one
i have been searching for cheap and good rigs:

i7 7700k
Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 Liquid CPU cooler 240mm Radiator Dual 120mm
advanced RGB Lighting and fan sofrware control
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2400MHZ c16 Desktop memory kit black (CMK16GX4M2A2400C16)
EVGA 1000W Gold
Motherboard Asus Z170-E
Raedon Rx570 4gb Oc
this is the best that i can find used, for the price is around 700 dolars i think

the second options is:
any ryzen 1600 or 2600 and maybe any 9th intel i5 but they are out from my budget right now

that i can find
but due to covid is rare to find any ryzen 5 new or use at a good price

so what do you guys think?
and finally my seasonic psu will handle the i 7700k and the rx 570? or maybe any ryzen 5 2600/1600?
i want to buy maybe a 1650 super or a cheap 1070

my other choices is a new laptop, i was thinking in asus tuf 505dt i think it was the name
im a netwrok enginner, so i need something fast, for excels, gns3 simulations, i have a 240 ssd crucial plus 1 tb seagate

What country in south america?
Going from a 1060 3gb to a rx570 is a side step, it will provide no discernible performance gain.
The s12III 620 is group regulated and has no business being in a modern pc.

Your current i7 2600 is still good enough IMO, if the pc is running slow, then maybe it's time to re-install windows.
Is your 12gb ram running in dual channel mode, or single channel. You can check with cpu-z under the memory tab.

oh hi
i live in chile, the rx 570 comes with combo

i did not understand about seasonic s12III 620 , can you explain?
no, its not slow, i have windows 10 on a ssd 240 gb crucial
i have 4 sticks
2x4 1600
2x2 1333
running at 1333
i want something new, new rams for ewxample ddr4
what gpu can you recomend now? i cant find a used or new for example gtx 1060 6gb

Group regulated means that the 12v, 5v, and 3.3v rails are all regulated as a group. The result is when there is a high or low load on one of the rails, the other rail voltage will be lowered or raised to compensate, this will lead to deterioration of pc components as the parts will be running out of their voltage range. It also has a problem with certain sleep states on new pc parts. If you're strapped for cash, it'll work fine temporarily, but it should be replaced with a dc-dc unit as soon as you can.

Unless you are running out of memory with the 1060 3gb, I don't see any point to get a 1060 6gb, rx 570/580. An upgrade will only be worth it if it's a gtx 1070 or gtx 1660 super or ti.

Don't bother with a 7700k, it's also outdated. The 8th/9th gen has been replaced by the 10th gen on socket 1200. The i3 10100 performs similar to a i7 7700 as an example, still just 4 cores 8 threads like your i7 2600, but faster.

cpu: i3 10100
motherboard: msi b460m pro-vdh
memory: either 2 sticks of 8gb 2666 or a kit of corsair 2x8gb 3000Mhz (speed doesn't matter as the cpu/motherboard limits you to 2666Mhz)
video card: gtx 1660 Super
power supply: Seasonic focus plus 750w(it's overkill, but it's the only one in stock that's good)

if you have any places you like to shop, link them.

ok ic
so what should i upgrade first?
the seasonic i have it since 2017 i never had any problems
the psu will handle a gtx 1070? and the i7 2600 non k?

maybe i should get another ram 1600 and a new gpu maybe a 1070
any bottleneck wwith a 1070 or a 1660?

Yeah, the psu will work fine with a 1070 or a 1660S, there is still the risk of crossload as it's a design flaw of the psu, but ultimately, you should be fine for a little while.

The i7 2600 will not limit the 1070 or 1660S, but it will have lower fps compared to a modern cpu by about 10fps.

For clarification, the 1660 non super is considerably slower then the 1660 super or 1070 and is not worth the upgrade over the 1060 3gb you have IMO.

so i found this 2 psu:
750 B3 750w 80 Plus Bronze EVGA

SILVERSTONE SX500-LG 500W SFX-L 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply, Silent running 120mm fan with 18dBA minimum (SX500-LG V2.0)

are they good enough for my current rig? and also maybe a future update to my cpu+mobo+rams ddr4?
i really want a cheap gtx 1070 or maybe a 1660 wherever i found cheap first
i like the silverstone but 500w is enough for a 2600 non k and maybe a high end gpu?

The evga B3 could be good, the problem is that if it gets overloaded, it will likely fail. This can be from a short circuit or from too much load from the pc. It tests great, but with a protection feature that fails...I can't confidently recommend it.

The silverstone is a good unit, but it is a sfx format, so you would need a sfx to atx converter.

A quality 500w unit(the silverstone is pretty good) can power up to a rtx 2060S or rtx2070 if using a lower power cpu. It will work fine with a low to mid range gpu like a gtx 1070/1660S.
If paired with a higher end 125w+ cpu(3900x+, 10600k+), I'd opt for a 650w+ unit.

your i7 2nd gen is still good enough. maybe try waiting for this pandemic to end since nowadays computer component became more expensive due to high demand (since many employees are now on work from home and students are studying online)
