Question upgrading my motherboard, details below. The computer is a HP Pavilion 500 223w. I have an upgraded GPU (nvidia gtx 950) .

What was the question? Can you upgrade the motherboard? Technically, yes. You could put any standard Micro-ATX motherboard and any standard ATX power supply into that chassis. The only real difficulties would be air flow (the case isn't designed for high-end components) and the front panel connections which are often configured as a single connection designed for the original motherboard.
