This is what I've got atm.

Silver Power SP-SS650 650W PSU
ATX 12V V2.2, 80 Plus Bronze, Standard, 1× 6pin PC

Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3, P55, Socket-1156
4xDDR3, ATX, GbLAN, USB3.0, PCI-Ex(2.0)x16

Intel Core? i7 Quad Processor i7-860
Quad Core, 2.80Ghz, Socket 1156, 8MB, 95W, Boxed w

Crucial DDR3 1333MHz 4GB KIT, CL9,
Kit w/two matched DDR3 2GB, 240pin

MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti 1GB PhysX CUDA
PCI-Express 2.0, "HAWK", GDDR5, 2xDVI, native-mini

Hitachi Deskstar? P7K1000.C 500GB, 7200R
16MB Cache, SATA

It plays most things, mainly playing bf3, but I feel it's time to upgrade. I've been told by I need to upgrade the processor, motherboard and ram. Personally I have no idea. Really. No clue.

I set a $1000 budget, but I live in Norway and prices are a bit high here. We earn lots, but everything is overpriced :p I guess I can stretch myself to $1500.

Any help would be welcome. I can provide more info if needed. I barely know what info I typed in here anyways ;)

I guess I should have said something about that. My usb ports are failing for some reason. I've had friends (I call them pc experts) check my drivers and they've conducted all kinds of tests. They tell me there is something wrong with my motherboard, and it needs to go.

And I get good discount if I buy over $1000 (approx. 5000 norwegian kroner), so I thought I'd upgrade other stuff as well.

KINGSTON DDR3 HYPERX 8GB 1600MHZ CL9 (2X4GB) x2

SAMSUNG 830 SERIES 128GB SSD SATA/600 MLC

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H Z77 S-1155 ATX IVY

INTEL CORE I7 3770 3.4GHZ 8MB S-1155 IVY

I'm able to get this for approx. $800 (I get a 25% discount on the processor and motherboard :) ). Any thoughts?

I don't want to ignore your help so far, so I thought I'd go for one of those i7 processors you mentioned, 2fast2thetown_down :)

Ditto on the Sabertooth board, they're awesome. Not to mention they come with a 5 year warranty.
