Upgrading my PC, AM4, DDR4, and Motherboard combinations

Looking to finally make the jump into the world of DDR4 from DDR3, which means I have to go about upgrading my CPU and Motherboard as well. Was planning on switching to intel, but after doing some research the new AMD Ryzen CPU's seem to be getting really good reviews and ratings. Below I have my current set up listed:
AMD fx8350
MSI g36 motherboard
16GB G.Skill 2133
XFX 280x

Any tips or suggestions? Should I instead go intel? Stay away from ASRock? Different Memory? Anything helps, thanks!!!

I recommend you go for the r5 1600 and gigabyte ab350 gaming 3 mobo

Above is a good match, just ensure you get a pair of 3200Mhz memory on the approved motherboard list.
