Hi I'm new to this and I'm basically just wanting to play games but I don't really care if its on the best settings. I'm looking to upgrade to either the Sapphire Radeon R9 270x or the Asus Radeon R9 270. Im not sure if my pc will even support these cards lol any tips/help would be much appreciated

My current pc settings are:
Motherboard - gigabyte H61M-DS2
CPU - Intel I5 3330 @3.00 Ghz
Ram - 8gb
Psu - 230 watt (i know ill need toupgrade this part)
Graphics card - Asus AMD radeon Hd 6670 2gb

Solution
Either r9 270x or r9 270 will fit your MB, which has the pcie2.0x16. But you have to upgrade the PSU too, from the PSU wattage 230W, your PC should be the OEM pc, because usually they install the low wattage PSU like 230W-300W, also the case is mATX format case too. You should open the case to make the measurement to see the new GPU will fit into the case or not, check the link for more info http://www.adventcomputers.co.uk/product-support/how-upgrade-your-desktop-pc%E2%80%99s-graphics-card

And when you buy the PSU make sure check the PSU tier list, don't buy the low quality PSU.

And PSU requirements for the GPU...

Hi thanks for all your help I decided to go ahead and buy the graphics card with a new psu (crosair cx600 not the best but I got a deal on it lol) every thing is working perfect. The installation was a bit of a nightmare because it was my first time and my motherboard had a 4 pin slot but the psu had 8 but after research I found out the 8 pin can be divided lol again thanks for all your help :)
