Upgrading my PC and I want to know if the parts will all fit together

Hi everyone!
I want to upgrade my PC and I want to know if the parts that I have picked up will all fit together!

But before every thing here is my PC that I am going to upgrade:

The parts that I have picked up is:
processor: Intel Core i7-4790K 4GHz LGA1150
Motherboard: ASRock Z97M PRO4 LGA1150 Z97
Memory ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

The video card / graphic card is upgraded earlier to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (This is the graphic card that I am going to use in this upgrade!)

I want to know if these parts are going to fit together in my PC?

Do I need a better power supply?

Is it better to have a ram that is 1 x 8gb or should I go with 2 x 4gb? because I will maybe in the future add 1 x 8gb so that I can get 16gb ram!

Does my old 4gb memory fit in to the new motherboard? so I can get 12gb ram!

And also take a look at my case size and tell me if the new motherboard does fit with the case size! my old motherboard is micro ATX, and the new is micro ATX also!

I don't want to order these parts before I am 100% sure that they fit together to avoid returning!
So please help me🙁

I am going to do gaming(all and latest games), recording(in 1080p 60fps with no lag), video editing and rendering.

Making sure I have this right, you already have the 550ti?

One important concept is making sure your build is balanced. The 4790k is a very strong CPU and it your going to pair it with a entry level GPU. That's an imbalance. Is there a reason you're buying the i7? For almost every situation when gaming, only an i5 is needed. You could put that extra $100 to a better motherboard for overclocking or a new GPU.

RAM question. You should buy pairs of RAM for dual channel speeds. (2x4) And because you're buying a Haswell CPU and overclocking, you should invest in 1866 or 2133MHz RAM. If you want 16GB of RAM, just buy 2x8. You could run into stability issues when having more than 2 sticks of RAM. It's not major but if you may have to mess with the memory controller voltage for stability.

The new motherboard should fit in the case. It's the same mATX as the existing board. But, for overclocking, you'll need a new cooler and depending on the height of the cooler, it may not fit in the case.

I do have the 550ti now and its installed in the PC.

I want the i7 4790k because I am going to do gaming, recording ( in 1080p 60fps), video editing and rendering.
I decided to get a better CPU and to add more ram so that I can play all the games and do recording without laging, and without any problems.

I have an AMD CPU at the time!
I don't want to overclock. All I need is a good CPU for gaming(all and latest games), recording(in 1080p 60fps), editing and rendering.
And I need some more ram for that!

So how can I make my build balanced?
Do you have any other suggestions for what CPU should I get? (if Intel then what motherboard?)
Also how match ram do I need?

For a balanced gaming rig, typically the more expensive component is the GPU. That is because the majority of CPUs on the market can't bottleneck a single GPU. Have a $300 CPU and a 3 generation old $50 GPU isn't balanced. The 550ti is going to struggle to play games @1080 60FPS let alone recording while gaming.

You're not really looking to upgrade as much as you are looking to start fresh.

How much are you wanting to spend.

The only game that I could not start was COD AW, it says you don't meet the minimum requirements of CPU and ram to start the game! The system did not say any thing about the GPU!

NB! you have to use google chrome to watch in 60fps!
You can clearly see that there is no lag!

It makes sense why you were able to average high FPS in those games. You can run them on laptops or integrated GPUs. They're extremely low end games. If you're not going to be recording AAA games, than you're not going to have an problem.

My only concern now is the PSU. I don't know what PSU you currently have but check it out.

Here's the performance of an i7 for $80 less. Upgrade the GPU when needed. I added 16GB for your video editing. Right now it's stock 1600 but for video editing, faster RAM would help.

Also, keep in mind you may need a new copy of Windows. If you have an OEM version, it's tied to the old motherboard and not transferable.

Will that work fine?

Well a 965 would be a great upgrade from your current CPU. You'll have to buy one second hand as they don't make new ones anymore. As you are seeing, you'll have to lower the resolution and settings to do want you want.

I would still change the PSU. You're probably loading the PSU over 80%. PSUs like the one in your HP aren't designed to take high loads for extended periods. Since your abandoning the new motherboard route, look at buying a new case and a new PSU.
