Hello,
Got the same system for 8 year now, and i'm looking forward to upgrade it.
To this day my system is:
- Intel i5 2500k
-16 GB DDR3 ram

    • P8P67 Pro rev 3.1 mobo
    • AMD R9 380X
    • 750W Bronze Psu
    • 1 TB HDD + 500 GB sata SSD

And i need to change:
  • CPU
  • MotherBoard
  • Ram
  • Graphic Card
So i came up with some solutions, but i'm not really sure about bottlenecks and compatibility.
I would go with :

  • CPU : Intel i7 9700k
  • MotherBoard : Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi
  • Ram: 2*8 GB, 2666 Hz, DDr4 Corsair Vengeance LPX
  • Graphic Card : MSI GeForce RTX 2070 8GB

-SSD: Samsumg 970 Evo 500 GB M.2 Nvme SSD

The only real limit i have here in component choice beside price, is the CPU socket, since i'm re-using my CPU cooler (which is 1 Yo), so i need to use, But if thats a bad choice, i can change the CPU cooler:
  • AMD AM2/2+
  • AMD AM3/3+
  • Intel 1155
  • Intel 1156
  • Intel 1366
  • Intel 775
  • Intel 1150
  • Intel 1151
This build is for 2k 144hz gaming, so i need something quite beefy, but i wont do any rendering, so not TOO beefy.
Thanks for your time, any help is much appreciated.

The RX5700 XT is slightly better (and costs less) than the RTX2070, but not quite as good as the RTX2070 Super.

Thanks for the differents option you brought me.
I really like the RX 5700 XT, thats a better choice than the 2070, so i'll go for that.
32 GB of ram is better than 16 right ? So i'll go for 32 !
Unfortunatly, my CPU cooler isnt compatible with AM4/4+ CPU, So if i need to buy another one, it will get more expensive in the end.

I appreciated you help, thanks for helping me out.
