Hi all,

I would like to upgrade my PC so i can run World of Warcraft on Ultra and run some VM's for education purposes :pt1cable: (Windows Server etc.). I think only my RAM and GPU should be replaced. but i don't really know where to start. :??:

My specs:

Power supply: Antec Truepower 650
RAM: Corsair XMS3 DDR3 3x2 gb 1600MHz 1.65V (6GB RAM in total)
MOBO: ASUS rampage II GENE (supports up to DDR3)
CPU: I7 920 - 2.67GHz 4 Cores
GPU: Nvidia GTX 260

Thanks in advance!

The 970 is about even with a GTX 1060 3gb, so much better. Still not going to be doing ultra though. 1080p ultra is going to require at least a GTX 980/1060 6gb. Even then, that i7 920 is going to severely hold you back. WoW is still highly CPU dependent, despite Blizzard's efforts to increase GPU dependency. A gen 1 i5 750 is the minimum requirement, just to play. Your i7 920 really isn't any better, from an IPC standpoint, as it is a gen 1 i7.
