Hello,

I am upgrading my pc. I recently bought the gigabyte rx 570 4gb. But I still have a bad cpu, ram and mobo.

The cpu Im planning on getting is the ryzen 5 2600, and the ram is the https://www.amazon.de/Gigabyte-AORUS-Gaming-Motherboard-schwarz/dp/B07CG3XJ6F

Now Im struggling on finding a good motherboard. I really want a motherboard I can use for overlocking and one thats upgradable. I dont wanna have to buy a complete new motherboard if I wanna upgrade my cpu or gpu later on. Now I got some tips from a really nice person.

My current specs:

Cooler master K-380 advanced 3.0
CPU: AMD zambezi FX-4300 quad core
Just normal cooling
Motherboard: MSI 970A-g43
Ram: Crucial ballistix tactical 2x4 gb ddr3-1866
GPU: gigabyte rx 570 4gb
SSD: Crucial MX500 2,5" 250gb
HDD: 1tb
600 watt cooler master
windows 10 - 64bit

Motherboards I think would be good, But little expensive:

2. https://www.amazon.de/Gigabyte-AORUS-Gaming-Motherboard-schwarz/dp/B07CG3XJ6F

Should I buy one of this mobo ? and if so which one ?.

Or should I get a different one? I dont care allot about the amount of usbs one has or the amount of sata ports. Id say 4 sata ports are plenty and 6 usb would also be plenty. but i woudnt mind if it was higher. furthermore I only want it to be future proof. So I wont have to get a new mobo when upgrading my setup later. And Id like to be able to overclock with it. If possible as cheap as possible. Thanks for the answers. Apreciate it.

I would go with the b450 MSI Tomahawk. As LordVile said, Ryzen CPUs overclocks tend to be limited by their architecture. Save your money on the mobo and get the best GPU you can afford as that will have a much bigger impact on gaming performance than a extra 100mhz overclock.
If you want to push OC's as high as you can, I would get an x470 mobo. The ones you selected are fine, but they are budget x470s. I would suggest going with something a little better or just drop to a b450 board such as the MSI b450 Tomahawk. The b450 boards will overclock, they just may not overclock as well, but they are cheaper.

The Gigabyte Gaming 5 is a solid x470 board with a lot of features that will overclock pretty good.

Thank you for your answer, But the mobo you suggested looks great and all, but its 200 euros in my country, that means if I get that mobo. Ill have a mobo thats more expensive then my GPU and my CPU. Isnt that overkill or am I not seeing its full potential?

Unless you want to upgrade to a 3rd gen part in the next 18 months just buy a B450 board. The tomahawk (ATX) and Mortar(MATX) are both good boards.

Ryzen chips are process bound to around 4Ghz so all the phases in the world won’t help you get much more out of them. You might only manage 4-4.2 rather than 4.4 but it won’t make a difference in gaming. However these boards will support Ryzen chips launched until 2020 just like the X boards.

b450 mortar and up should be a good choice, from all the review that I have read msi has the best budget range b450 boards to pair with R5 cpu.

Also, look that those deals for X470 mobo, I picked a gigabyte X470 ultra gaming for 110 usd during Black Friday. If you can’t find such deals msi b450 boards are good choices ( get the ones with vrm heatsinks, like the mortar, tomahawk, Carbon )

Thank you for your answer,

So If I happend to be upgrading to a ryzen gen 3 cpu I wont have any problems later? If I get the B450 tomahawk.

Ryzen CPUs will support the AM4 socket through 2020. So you will be fine with the b450 board.
