Hi, I want to upgrade my gpu and cpu. My gpu: GTX 560 SE, CPU: i3 2120.
Can I upgrade my gpu for exp. GTX 760 2GB and cpu for exp. i5 4690K ?

Solution

Yes and here's my overall answer to your upgrade

It's pretty simple i would say, if you already have a GTX560, then only the length of any new card (if your case doesn't support longer cards), and the power draw if your psu is pretty bad.
When it comes to the CPU, im prety sure you can only use socket 1156 CPU's, the i5 4xxx series is socket 1150 (newer), you could etc. get a used i7-2600K or i7-2700K if you can fine someone who sells one, they're still pretty good cpus, when oc'd they're even pretty close to match the i7-4770K's performance according to cpubenchmark.net.

If you want a newer cpu you'll have to throw some extra money in for a new motherboard.

There should be a sticker on one of the sides of your...

If you don't mind used, you can get an excellent r9 290 for 250bucks or a gtx 780 for 350.

If not, try waiting for the gtx 960 and if you can't, get the r9 280x

An i5 4690k is an excellent choice. If you want a better GPu, go for a pentlum g3258 and upgrade later

Ok, I will check them. But my current gpu and cpu can be changed by these which You suggested?

Ok thanks, but are my current cpu and gpu can be changed by Your suggestions?

Your cpu cannot be changed to the newer i5 you where looking at. The socket type on the i3 dosen't match the socket type of the i5, the i5 wouldn't fit into your current motherboard.

I would upgrade your graphics card to what you wanted, like the R9 I suggested or the 760 you wanted. As for the processor, I wouldn't even bother upgrading it. Its still good for gaming and really isn't outdated yet. I would focus on getting a really good GPU instead

Ok, I really appreciate that You helped me :)

No problem hah :) Just make me the awnser so I can get my badge lol

As long as your power supply can handle it and has the right connectors, which it should it'll work. I think the connectors your current psu has will work, as long as it has one of those universal pcie power plugs

Which exact psu do you have? I cant really know until I know exactly which psu you have so I can look at the connectors. Like I said, I think it will though because the 560 had very close connectors.
