My computer has been running games much slower than it used to is worth upgrading my pc with a new graphics card? My specs are 8gig ram
gtx 650 graphics card
amd fx8350 processor

Just simply upgrading your graphic card will make a huge difference. You have a good CPU and nice amount of RAM for gaming but the GPU is a low end GPU. Upgrading to something like the 970 would make a huge difference, or you could go for something much cheaper. What are you looking to spend??? A new graphics card is really all you need!

I was going to spend £140-£190

If you're on a budget go for the gtx 750ti.It's only for 100$ and difference with r9 280x is 5 fps avg depending on the latest game. Also the gtx 750ti is 60w(38.8 @stock) runs on 350watt psu.

Assuming your in the UK mate & that £190 needs to include gpuv& PSU ??

Xfx ts 550w PSU

Sapphire dual-x r9 280www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IRTXPBM/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_p2CHub01BZEJE

Can't go wrong with the above combo - massive upgrade over what you're currently using.

^ Omar - 5fps between a 750ti & a 280x !!!
No never - more like 25-35 fps at comparative settings.750ti is a nice budget card but incomparable to any of the amd r9 cards.

I would go with a r9 280x seeing as that card runs extremely well for the price point, but the only problem is that will draw significantly more power than any nvidia cards. You need 650-750w power supply just to be safe and get good efficiency.

I wouldn't recommend going with 550w because that could affect performance and put your PSU under little bit more load than it would like. It would run fine but you always want to get a power supply that is a little bit higher wattage to get best performance.

I'm not saying it won't run it I just like to get a little bit higher wattage.
