Hi guys, you've probably heard this a million times but I am wanting to upgrade my PC, not massive amounts as I dont have the money for that, also I am not really much of a techno guy for PCs, anyway here are my specs:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
RAM: 4.0GB
Motherboard: Intel DQ45CB
Disk Drive: Maxtor 7H500F0 ATA Device

I dont want to spend a fortune, anywhere between £100 and £200, I also dont want to run the latest games as I have an Xbox One and a PS4, just want to run good PC exclusives such as Arma 3 etc on high settings with no slow down. Cheers!!!

Solution
You definitely need like 4gigs more ram. I assume its ddr3 if not you should upgrade to it. Try for a Intel i5. Your GPU is OK, but if I was to recommend a budget upgrade go for an AMD card or the 1060 is scheduled for release soon. Of course make sure your Mother board is compatible with the components.

Well, a cheap thing to upgrade is the RAM, you can get 2 4Gb sticks and ger 8Gb of RAM for 40 euros.

Your GPU is good to go (Arma 3).

Problem is: Arma 3 requires an i5 or faster, and CPUs are really expensive, so you better save some money before you play Arma 3, I think, or you can scan your PC and find out if your processor is as fast as an i5. I do not think so, though.

A quick Google told me that my motherboard wont be compatible for an i5 processor. Also just done a quick scan using crucial memory and I have 2 banks of DDR PC-26400 2GB. Another quick google told me that this kind of RAM is the slowest kind?

Also ive had a look at the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9705 as an option and it seems to be a relatively good processor, will it fit my motherboard?

I do think so, but it is not as fast as an i5 to run Arma 3.
