I am looking to upgrade my pc

BTW this is a gaming PC

I think the main thing i need to upgrade is my CPU.

Yes, first upgrade your CPU. However, you will need to upgrade your MB as well if you plan to go for an intel CPU, which I would recommend doing.

Good upgrade would be i5 6500, i5 6600k, or i7 6700k depending on your budget.
