Hey everyone so christmas was good to me this year and I have some money to make some upgrades to my PC. Im currently running the following:

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
CPU - Intel Core i3
RAM - two sticks of 4g DDR3
GPU - Nvidia GTX 1060
Memory - 250g SSD and 1TB SATA drive

I was hoping to see a bigger upgrade when i purchased the GTX 1060 but there must be a bottleneck some where in my current build. Any advice, along with any upgrade suggestions "minded I dont have too much to spend maybe 200-300$"

Thanks in advance, and merry christmas!

Your graphics card is great! It is definitely held back by that i3 (dual-core) processor.

Now your motherboard you listed actually isn't a motherboard. It sounds like an AMD graphics card that you listed.

Also, if it was AMD, you wouldn't be able to have an Intel processor in it.

So, my assumption is that you have an LGA 1150 chipset motherboard.

Since you're using DDR3 RAM, you would not have a 6th gen, but more so a 4th gen.

In this case, I would recommend that you upgrade to a quad-core processor. Preferably an i5 4590; it is a very good processor that is well within a budget.

Also, I'd recommend you swap your RAM out for 16GB (2x8) of DDR3 RAM since that's becoming the norm and will future-proof you.

Merry Christmas!
