Upgrading my PC

I'm planning on buying a gtx 1070 gpu. Is it okay to upgrade GPU first before the processor?
Specs: i3-4330 / r7 370 gpu / 12gb ram / b85m-d3h gigabyte mobo

You can but the card won't reach it's potential until the CPU is upgraded. Make sure you have a decent PSU running the new card.

Thank you. I have 500w PSU and also will it hold that much of a potential? I'm also planning on upgrading it on i5 or something after.

What make and model PSU , 500W sometimes is really a lot less.

Get an i5 for sure down the road.

I have the TACENS MP500 PSU. Getting an i5 after.. is the one then. Thank you so much for the quick reply. Gonna upgrade soon next week!

You are going to want/need a better PSU for a 1070. That psu cant even deliver 400w where it counts as the 12v rail is only 30a(360w). It also seems to have no pci-e power connectors.
