[SOLVED] Upgrading my PC

Hi,

I want to upgrade my GPU to a Zotac GTX970 Omega Core Editon and I don´t know if my power suply can power it.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
CPU: I5-3570K
PSU: Cooler Master 600W

Yes it can run it , but quality isn't very good. I would upgrade to a higher quality PSU in the future.

Search for psu tier list. U would ideally want a tier 1 or tier 2 psu.

Which model is it? Cooler Master has a large variety of PSU and they are varying in quality from excellent to poor. Nearly all of them are listed here, so depending on which one you have it could be good or bad.​

Good power supplies have higher quality capacitors, better regulate voltage and deal with ripple, have better protections generally, and are more efficient.

Cooler Master units that aren't of their higher-end lines (such as the V series) tend to use budget platforms that cut corners and also use lower-tier capacitors rather than the high-quality Japanese ones that are standard in every high-end PSU.
