hello everyone, i'm planning to upgrade my current pc a bit soon with some Christmas money. i plan on upgrading the graphics card and power supply as my current supply isn't enough for the card i want. the thing i'm worrying about is if the graphics card will fit and is the right type. but i'm pretty sure i've got the correct type of graphics card for my motherboard.
here is my current computer: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c03012519#N1200
this is the graphics card i plan on buying: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125411&Tpk=Gigabyte%20Gv-N430-2Gi
this is the power supply i plan on getting: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256061
i'm wondering if the power supply and the graphics card fit? now i'm also wondering if the power supply will be good enough for the new card and everything that's already included with the computer. what do you guys think?

Noooooooo !

Get 7770 /7850.

And that PSU is pretty good.

In the case i dont know . You must messure it 😛

The mobo is good and the CPU too. 8Gb ram great for gaming.

Btw before choosing the CARD what is your monitor resolution ?

my resolution is 1440 x 900. now i'm looking at this card:
http://www.sears.com/xfx-radeon-hd-7770-graphic-card/p-SPM6742356201?prdNo=17
is that one any good? i always thought that only nvidia cards would run on intel cpu and radeon cards would run only on amd cpu for some reason. if that's not true then i'm pretty sure i'll buy that 7770 if someone says it's good. i did notice it's a pci express 3.0 x16 though, my mobo only has 2.0 so will a 3.0 work with 2.0 and if it does will it work well? my current integrated card plays team fortress 2 decent and counter strike source great. i just want something that could run tf2 better and run new games like black ops 2 if i ever decide to play other games.

Yes it will work with pcie 2.0

And it will do good at that resolution.

If you can get 7850 would be even better :)

but will a 7770 be alright if i ever decide to play new games like black ops 2 or something? i will look into this 7850:
http://www.sears.com/xfx-radeon-hd-7850-graphic-card/p-SP101A12460S6357232006?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1
but i don't know if i'll have enough money for it, but if i do i'd like to be sure that the card will be good. if a 7770 will be enough to run new games without causing lag i'll be happy with that.
also with that power supply i posted it says its a 20 pin connecter and my mobo has 24 pins. so will that psu be compatible with my motherboard?

i'm in the states and will probably be buying from newegg. i will definitely be buying the 550w pro core since it's the same dimensions as the psu that came with this pc. so i won't need to worry about measuring for that silverstone psu. i also plan on buying the 7850 now.

i really just need something that will handle any game i throw at it. the reviews on the 7770 i saw on newegg sounds like it will do that but may not reach the highest settings on some games. but that's fine with me, i play most games on lowest settings right now and i'm fine with that. so i'm sure that 7850 will handle even more on higher settings. i will need a psu to handle the extra power though since the one that came with the computer is only 300W. i'm hoping for something that will handle anything i throw at it along with a good psu for around 250-270 max. with that budget and the card you recommended i can either go with a 7850 + that silverstone psu i posted earlier, or a 7770 and that xfx pro core you suggested. so right now i'm wondering if that silverstone psu will handle a 7850. keep in mind that the only games i play right now are counter strike source and team fortress 2 which both run fine on my current integrated card. i just need something that will handle tf2 better and other games i decide to buy because i will have a better card. so as i said before i want something that will handle any game that looks good to me. my budget may have been higher but i really need to buy a new headset with microphone, a gaming mouse from razer, and a mouse pad which is around 20$ and possibly a keyboard. i may end up only getting the headset and a mouse pad though, i don't know too much about these high quality mouses and pads though. heres the other things i want to buy:
mouse pad: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826999062&Tpk=Razer%20Kabuto
mouse: http://www.sears.com/razer-gaming-abyssus-mirror-mouse-abyssus-mirror/p-SPM7422537110?prdNo=6
i posted those for you to look at, i would like to know if a mouse & mouse pad is really a important thing for gaming. so will those enhance gaming abilities or anything? if not i'll probably just get a cheaper mouse pad as my current pad is really old and worn. my current mouse is alright in my opinion. this is the mouse i have: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Black-HP-USB-Wired-Optical-Scroll-Mouse-505062-001-/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/$%28KGrHqJHJC!E-kfO3l!bBPr8!MbiSg~~60_35.JPG
it's probably cheap as it came with my computer, will that razer mouse be a significant improvement over the one i have now? or is it not worth blowing 50 bucks on a razer mouse?
