I need to replace my Ultra LSP750 with a more reliable PSU. I am looking for quality, but I also need some extra power for future expansion in the next 5 years.

Currently I have the following system:

Video Card: Gtx 970 Strix
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6700
Mother board: Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT
PSU: Ultra lsp750 Watt ATX PSU
RAM: Corsair XMS3 4gb

I will be looking for upgrading my ram to 8gb, and getting a new motherboard + CPU. Not sure about the specifics yet, but I will probably be looking at i5 or i7. I will also probably be adding a second gtx 970 in 3-4 years

The GTX 970 is only a 145W card, so a huge PSU isn't necessary for two of them. Any good quality 650W or better with 2 x 6 pin PCIe connectors will work. I'd look for XFX, Corsair (non-CX), Seasonic, FSP, etc. Here is a relatively up to date hierarchy list of PSUs: https://community.newegg.com/eggxpert/computer_hardware/f/135081/t/45344.aspx?Redirected=true

My personal favorite is the XFX. Here's some 650W to 850W units: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007657%2050001669%20600479295%20600479296%20600479297&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=RATING&PageSize=20
