Question Upgrading my ram to a lower frequency but running dual channel to meet max cpu ram frequency.

So I want to buy 2 sticks with 16gb each. I could buy 16gb @ 3200MHz but the 2400MHz ones are cheaper even if my computer supports 3200mhz. If I run them in dual channel can I get 1600MHz (dual channel) from each stick making a total of 3200MHz speed???

no. that not how it work. it doesn't add together to get the speed

I installed cpu z and saw that each of my 8gb @ 3200mhz memory was running at 1600mhz each since it is running dual channel, each stick using half the speed I wondered if I had two of them 16gb @ 2400mhz each one and then in dual channel each one uses 1600mhz to make the cpu max 3200mhz

you look at ddr. double data rate. not because it running at dual channel.
