Upgrading my RAM

Hey guys I currently have 8 gb(2x4) of Corsair vengance 1600 mhz RAM. I was wondering if I could add another 2 dimms of ram, at 8 gb a piece(2x8), so I would in total have 22 gb of RAM in my system. Know that the extra 16 gb of RAM would be 1600 mhz and it would be Corsair Vengance. Thanks!

Well, if you were to add more ram it would have to be 4 GB ram sticks, because the motherboard would only detect the 8 GB as 4 if you used 8 GB sticks.

Could try, mixing sticks isn't recommended as it can be problematic, in you case if 16GB will suffice, can get them and then see if your current sticks will play nice with the new
