Hai all,
I plan to upgrade my pc since my current pc is way too old for new game. My current rig i7- 4770
Gtx-760
Msi Z97 gaming
8gb ram
I plan to change my gpu to 1660ti. The problem come is it will bottleneck my cpu or not. Or i need to change my cpu also ? I always play game in 1080p no plan to play 4k

Solution
With your current system, i'd just upgrade the graphics card and memory. That or purchase the graphics card now and wait for next gen Ryzen to release in 1-2 months.
With that CPU you will be ok with a 1660Ti, but you will want more RAM. Only issue is that is now a 5-6 year old system and it might be worth while to just upgrade everything.
You could do something like this for a full new build and be set for another 6 years.

Is it 2700x better than i7 8700 ?

The advantage of going with the 2700 vs 2700X is the 2700 is $70 cheaper and is unlocked so you can overclock it to the same clock speeds as the 2700X. While you don't need the AIO cooler, for the same money as a good Noctura HSF you get a AIO that should keep everything even cooler so the overclock can be more stable.

The i7 4770 is still a great processor by today's standards and pairs perfectly with a gtx 1660 ti. You only really need to upgrade the memory and use the 1660 ti. I would not purchase anything other than the graphics card and memory upgrade with AMD Ryzen's new processor release right around the corner. What game(s) are you playing where you suspect you need an upgrade?
