Hello

I am planning on upgrading my windows 10 to 11 soon, but I am going to need a new SSD. When I built my PC, I had a spare 120GB SSD, which I used instead of buying a SSD, I was able to spend that money on a better GPU. I currently have 24.9GB free on this SSD.

So, I am planning to get a new SSD via the black Friday sales, and I am not 100% confident in what I am looking at. Are you able to help me work out whats a good SSD to a bad SSD. I am only going to have windows 11 installed, as all my games are on different SSD/HDD's.

my current ssd is SanDisk SSD PLUS 120 GB Sata III 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, Up to 530 MB/s , Black

I am thinking maybe 240-500gb, hoping max spend about £40.

When buying an SSD, make sure that you choose a capacity whereby the SSD is half full after all your app's(not to mention the OS) has been installed. 500GB is the right size, actually. I'm on it but I don't game at the moment. What is the make and model of your motherboard? As for the budget, you're probably going to have to go higher depending on if you want a good quality SSD(and not something that's crippled).

You could look into a much larger SSD that would act as a game library drive, if you can make do with the current SSD for just the OS.
