Hi I was wondering if I can reuse a copy of windows 8.1 that I updated to windows 10 (oem) when I upgrade my system to x99 as I heard that windows will start to say it's not genuine if I switch the motherboard. Will I need to buy a new copy of windows or can I just retype in the product key? I was also wondering if Microsoft will reset the key if I call them up as I have heard something about that. I would really like to not have to go back go windows 8.1 or buy a new copy just for the key. Thanks in advance.

So if I understand correctly I can just delete windows then reinstall it when I upgrade my computer and use the product key from windows 8.1 to activate it as long as its done by July 29th? Also is there a way to not wipe everything off my drives(just windows). Lastly does the windows ISO give a reinstall option?
