Upgrading old pc, is it good?

I'm just interested if there's any other options for motherboards or RAM which will be usable for a while because a lot of the old components from my old pc became out of date really quick. Maybe I'll upgrade to a 1060 near the end of the year.

The GTX 960 could use an update but you already mentioned your getting a 1060.
upgrade CPU to a Ryzen 7.

well considering my motherboard and cpu are close to being 7 years I would say mine

is the listing your proposing a "future purchase" or components you have in HAND. ?
I am confused what your upgrading from.
