My current build:
  • i3-3240 @ 3.4ghz
  • 2x4gb DDR3 @ 1600MHz
  • B75M-D2V Mobo 7
  • GTX 660 2GB GPU
  • 500w PSU
  • 1TB HDD

I'm planning to upgrade it with used parts for 200 euros. 150 eur for a used RX 580 8gb (or 110 eur for 4gb) and the rest, for a 3rd gen CPU such as i5-3570, or i7-3770 if going for 4gb version of RX 580, or even a RX 570. Which combination do you think I should choose? Is the 8gb VRAM worth it? Is the 50 eur difference between the i5 and i7 worth it?

Solution
As you cannot overclock in a B75 and the 3770 and 3770k base clock difference is only of 0.1Ghz, I would get any of those, an i5 can already be not enough for some scenarios but those i7s are keepers and probably capable to deliver 60FPS in any scenario for some years to come.

4GB for a 580 could be not enough. But for a 570 or 470 which are being sold for crazy low prices is good enough.

Get an i7, get a cheap but good 470/570 and you will get a massive performance boost, and you will be able to get an even better graphics card in the future.
