Hello,

I'm looking to upgrade or build a brand new gaming PC. I'd like to use what I can from my existing PC to save money, but if it makes more sense to buy something new that's fine too. My budget is maybe $5-700. Obviously looking for the most bang for the buck. I have monitor/keyboard/mouse/speakers covered. The case I have is pretty big so no worries there. I have Windows 10 installed, no idea if I can transfer it over somehow.. it was auto upgraded from Windows 7 64 which I puchased. I'm fine using an older OS too if it can support newer games. Also I have amazon prime for free shipping if that helps.

Current specs:
motherboard: MSI 970 GAMING (MS-7693)
graphics card: Sapphire R9 270 2048 MB
ram: 8GB DDR3 RAM
power supply: Insignia™ - 520W ATX Power Supply
case: Thermaltake V3 Black Edition
hard drive: old 500mb regular hard drive (using about half the space now)

I really appreciate any input or feedback.

Thank you!
Jerod

You could substitute the i3, although it might lose a few FPS compared to the 6500. The 750 isn't needed, but a really good deal if you don't mind rebates. Your current PSU has enough wattage, but I don't think I would trust it's quality with a shiny new GTX 970. Isn't that Best Buy's house brand?
