System:
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600AF ( Using Hyper 212 EVO Tower Cooler )
Mobo: Asrock B450m Pro4
Ram: Patriot Viper 4 3000mhz cl16 (2x4gb)
GPU: Sapphire Rx 580 Pulse
SSD: Crucial P2 m.2 500GB
PSU: ThermalTake SMART RGB 500W

Monitor: Sceptre 24' 1080p 144Mhz curved

Parts to Upgrade: MOBO, PSU, RAM, & Possibly GPU at the end of the line Since it's unlikely to see ram performance or GPU performance gains without upgrading my MOBO/PSU ( to support a larger GPU )

Budgets
MOBO: -150$
PSU: -100$
RAM: -100$
GPU: -400$ & -700$ ( Looking at the 400$ range right now, but will likely be putting closer to 700$ into it around tax/stimulus checks )

Open to other suggested component upgrades or additions.

Why are you getting a new motherboard and RAM but not a CPU?

Definitely planning to make a CPU upgrade soon, just not sure if it would be more, or less worthwhile to put a new CPU or GPU in first.

I've been considering putting a R5 2600x into this system. I have an almost identical system too this one using a Tomahawk B450 with 2700x ( Using 3200mhz ram ) that seemingly doesn't out perform this system (by much) with 200$ less spent on hardware like the Pr04 B450, 1600af, 3000mhz ram.

The option of putting something newer, with more heft/longevity is also possible. R5 3600x, R7 3700x/3800x

Oh totally agree thepersonwithaface45 . I want the upgrades I make to be consistent with at least medium 4k game settings. Are any new products coming early Jan 2021 worth waiting for or is that just to wait for the market/competition to stabilize prices?

Will be picking up a new monitor in the new year for sure.

@2070 super is what i'm currently looking at.

Check out that article.
I would probably wait for a 3000 series. TI rumors are coming about and if I gotta wait until january for the new monitors, I'll get two birds stoned at once and put them in the same cart if I can.
