I just built my new PC with items ordered off Amazon. The ram, motherboard, and 8700k cpu is the only parts that I ordered and believe that one of them is faulty. My GPU is working 100% and I don’t think it’s my PSU. The only issue is that my motherboard doesn’t support 3200mhz ram that I ordered (it accepts 2666mhz), will that be a problem?

Turns on. All fans are spinning. No display.

I’m completely new to PC building.
Here are my parts:
Gtx 1080 MSI Gaming X
I7 8700k
Asus ROG STRIX B360-G mATX
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 (3200mhz)

I went on the Asus website for that motherboard and it said the RAM i should buy for this specific motherboard maxes out at 3000mhz. Could this be the problem?

I also tried all the RAM positions with 1/2 sticks. Using motherboard HDMI. At this point I’m thinking it’s probably the motherboard or RAM and hopefully not the CPU.

Thank you in advance for your help

Solution
It could be the RAM. An internal speaker, if header available on the board, would help in troubleshooting. Try testing different RAM, lower speed. Test with graphics card removed.
