Hi, got a build sorted, it works out to 700 for the components that i don't have, they are cpu, motherboard, cpu cooler, gpu, and an ssd, i have around three hundred ish atm. this will cover like two of them but its around 350 for the cpu + cooler and mother board, am i better off waiting to buy them all at once? thanks :)

Part prices can change on a daily basis. Your best bet is to find the best deal you can on the specific part you want. The biggest advantage to buying all at once is you can test the parts. If you wait too long and cannot test, you may not be able to return a defective device.

You should wait until you can purchase all of your items at once. You won't have a running system until then anyway. The last thing you want to happen is to finally have all your components, only to find out one that you purchased early is faulty. You're already past the quick (one week) RMA time frame and are now stuck with a longer (5 week) warranty claim.

I have a 8.1 licence currently, im not 100% but if i transfer it from my current device and then boot it up on the new cpu and mother board to save having to buy a new licence (this being booted from a cpu and using the existing product key)?

:??: Am i not clear enough?

Which cpu right now in the old system? The same for the motherboard etc.

Maybe do this if working on that pc right now,

Download hwinfo32,
http://www.hwinfo.com/download32.html
open it,
click run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
click save report at the left top,
in the next window at the bottom check=dot "short text report" after that next, you'll get to see what is in your pc,
copy that by clicking "copy to clipboard" and right click and paste in you next post.
