Well first off, here's a list of my current PC build.

Case: CoolerMaster Haf XM
CPU: i7 3770 (non k) <----- Looking to upgrade (Plus a decent cooler, Air preferred)
Power: Corsair 500 CX 80+ Bronze <----- Looking to upgrade (Modular preferred)
Ram: 8GB of G.Skill 1600mhz ram
GPU: Galaxy GTX 770 2GB
MotherBoard: Some Asus brand worth around $80, 3 years ago (will update later can't find box it came in) <---- Looking to upgrade
Storage: 1tb HDD and a 120GB 840 Evo

Alright, I want to upgrade, well maybe its a downgrade to an overclockable i5. Also I would like to upgrade to a decent 600-650 watt Modular Power Supply, and to finish that off I would like to upgrade to a motherboard that would fit nicely with the i5 and the case etc.

My PC is for gaming just to clarify (i7 3770 will be going to a friend)

My Budget can go up too $600,Uh and with that I live in Australia (prices are higher)

Solution
For the power supply it is probably the only part which will be a good upgrade as it should supply cleaner power for less draw so i will suggest the Corsair AX 760i which is $234.14 AUD from newegg. then also the CPU to a i7-4790k $431.33 AUD again from newegg.
The rest of your system looks pretty much up to date as i will suggest not upgradeing the GPU until the 1000 or 1100 series comes around as the GTX 770 is still a good card but that is why i picked a slightly more effenect and more powerful PSU to make room for future upgrades and/or if you want to do SLI with the 770 of course.
In that save up another $100 AUD then upgrade as why upgrade to something that will decrease preformance? To this your rig is already close...
