Question Upgrading pc

Basically I got an i5-9400f cpu and rx 6700 xt Asus Tuf big beefy one
But honestly I would like to have a good quality gaming I play a lot of call of duty and some rpg games but I'm thinking if possible 2k 144hertz or better for gaming and I just want to load up my pc when I get home and enjoy myself at good quality stuff,

Budget : max £1.5k

If possible id like to have some recommendation part I'll build it myself I am engineer lol

Both AMD (Zen 4) and Intel (Raptor Lake) are due out within the next 30 days. With that said if I was going to build today I'd look at something like this.

There are loads of YT videos to help you out, being an engineer and all....

I would think your current system capable of 2K gaming, but the 144 frame rate would be very dependent on your quality settings and particular game. I tend to agree with the above advice to wait this out for a month or two. See what release really looks like on performance and price and also get some real world review and interaction about the specific hardware.

If nothing else, release of new often makes the price of "old/yesterday" dip a considerable enough amount for purchase. I do a lot of my PC parts selection just behind the curve and save substantial money doing so based against new retail. Heck, I don't actually "need" half the stuff I get anyway, so the savings aren't anywhere but my own mind, I suppose. Kind of like buying that set of shoes you don't need because they were on sale.

Actually did buy a new case not too long ago
MSI MAG FORGE 100M Mid Tower

And 750psu however probably gonna replace it again and had that one down to someone I know

And probably re use my hard drive and ssd

Yea tbh in not desperate so I am probably best off waiting for the new things come out
