At the moment I am running a Pentium Gold G5420 on a PRIME H310M-E R2.0, alongside a Asus GT 1030 Low Profile GDDR5 and I want to upgrade the GPU to a GTX 1650 Super GDDR6 and the CPU to a I7 8700, I am not pretty sure that would be 100% compatible. Im using PC Builder from PcPartPicker and a bottleneck calculator to be sure,, but I still need the aprove from real people! My major question is the GPU. Do I need a new motherboard to change from GDDR5 to GDDR6?

Thanks in advance and have a great day

what power supply do you have, and how old is it?

you don't need a new mobo. My very old mobo runs fine with a GTX 1650 GDDR6.

that is a rather old cpu you have there. Don't buy a 1650 Super. A regular 1650 would work better with that.

My power supply is a brand new EZCOOL 600W 80+, and the thing with the 1650 Super is that a friend is selling his 1650 for a good price better than a regular 1650! Thanks again :)

ok, I know you're excited to have a stronger gpu. But are you sure that second hand 1650 Super is working fine? Why is your friend selling it at a low price?
Yes the GPU is working fine, and the price is because he is moving and he is going to buy a console and he knows that I want a better GPU

Here is the cpu support list for your motherboard:
Yes, a I7-8700 is supported.

Either gpu will run on slot power only so you should be ok with either graphics card.
The 1650Super is the stronger card.

Buying a cheap psu was probably a mistake.
A cheap psu can become expensive if it should fail.
Not much to be done now.
How long is the warranty?
