Upgrading PC

Hello, I have a GeForce GTX260 but would like to upgrade my PC abit.
This is my configuration:
2,67 gigahertz Intel Core i7 920
64 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache
8192 kilobyte tertiary memory cache
64-bit ready
Multi-core (4 total)
Hyper-threaded (8 total)
3062 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory
Slot 'DIMM0' has 2048 MB (serial number SerNum00)
Slot 'DIMM1' is Empty
Slot 'DIMM2' has 2048 MB (serial number SerNum02)
Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P6T Rev 1.xx
Raptor [Hard drive] (138,29 GB) -- drive 0 (2 x 10k rpm 70GB raptor disks)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 [Display adapter] 896DDR3 RAM

I'd like to change the GPU and maybe an SSD harddrive by spending maximum €400.
What would be the best product to buy without having to change me board?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What's your power supply? And I'd go for a 7850 over a 6950. If you get the 7850, then whatever PSU you use with a GTX 260 will be plenty. In the U.S., that would run you $250.

What websites do you use in the UK? Pretty much any SATA III SSD will do fine. I'd go with the cheapest I could find (although not the OCZ Octane or Petrol lines). I suggest a 120GB version. In the U.S., that would run you $120.

Other than that, your system should be plenty for any task today. Although you may want to consider picking up a third 2GB DDR3 RAM stick. You'll want to match the specs on the two you already have (such as 1600MHz CL9 1.65V).

Lastly, you may want to look up some info/start a thread on overclocking that i7-920. That CPU is no slouch, but it will probably OC to 3.2GHz with no voltage adjustments or additional cooling. The op appears to be maybe in Great Britain, and as such cant use Newegg...But ya, 6950, or if you prefer Nvidia, look for maybe a gtx560Ti, they are around the same price

From the fact the OP is using the euro sign I/m guessing that they won't be able to buy from newegg (US only).

For 400 euro you should wait for 1 more day when Nvidia will release their new GPU, this will play with the pricing of AMD cards and may force some price drops. If you're looking to get both a gpu and an ssd for 400 euro's then here's my recommendations:

Actually, I'd recommend the 7850/7870 over the 560 ti if you can find them, better performance, heat and power consumption for similar costs.
