£400 is plenty for an entry level gaming pc

i3 is not a gaming CPU... It has only 2 cores.
i5 IS a gaming CPU, with 4 Cores and 4 Virtual cores, with Hyperthreading... So if u need to play games, minimum requirement is an i5.

@iknowhowtofixit: You are right bro... They are neck and neck... but AMD is almost 15% slower than Geforce cards in general. That's what i saw...

Never generalize AMD and NVIDIA. In general, AMD cards are actually faster, in "general".
i5 does not have hyper-threading.
i5 is never a minimum requirement neither it is a recommended one. You can buy 860K and be fine with it in any game.
i3 IS a gaming CPU and is way better than any AMD CPU counterpart.

Please, do not post misinformation. You are not only confusing the person who asked the question but also others who might read this thread in the future.

Ook, i stand corrected. I meant Turbo Boost, not Hyper Threading. That's only in i7s...
Thank you for sharing that info with us.

Hyper-threading is also in i3's and mobile and some old i5's.
