upgrading problem

right, i am tight on buget and want to use slim case!
looking for A643000+ with a strong matx board, when will there be one, from a non-oem company? ie, asus, msi etc?

As far as I know, for a MicroATX format, you're pretty much limited to socket 754. Gigabyte seems the have the best selection using either the SiS 760 chipset or the Via K8T800. MSI and Asus also offer 754 pin Micro ATX boards for the Athlon64.

I wouldn't call these "strong" boards... quite honestly they target MicroATX boards to the value market - many of them have integrated video and lack features. The Gigabyte GA-K8VT800M may come closest to what you're looking for.
