Hi there,

I'm trying to upgrade the processor in my MV43V/N Motherboard from a
Celeron 2.0 to a P4 2.4 533Mhz 1MB L2 Cache. When I try and power up
the fans spin and I think the HDD is spinning, but the power light,
HDD light and monitor do nothing.

So far I've:

1.) Reset the CMOS as described in the manual
2.) Tried to change the Bus speed from 100Mhz to 133Mhz
3.) Tried the old processor and it still worked fine.

Any suggestions? This is a brand new Retail Box processor.

Thanks,

Andrew

So you have 'cleared' the CMOS or BIOS with the jumper?
Do you need to flash the BIOS with the latest settings?

And did you change the multiplier along with the Bus speed?

just some thoughts. 🙂
