Question Upgrading PSU on under powered system?

Hello, good morning, hope all is well in everyone's life.
I have a system that by all means is underpowered - but I am not really sure this is an issue. I never experience BSOD or anything like that, nothing to make me think I NEED to upgrade but I do worry about the longevity of my system.
My specs are as follows:
  • CPU: 5700X3D
  • Cooler: H115i RGB PRO XT
  • GPU: PNY 4070TI Super
  • RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB
  • Storage: 2 m2 ssds, 2 3.5 ssds
  • PSU: EVGA 600W GD Gold

Now I am wondering, would yall keep running it like this? If upgrading I am going with BeQuiet PurePower 12 850W

If you are just gaming, probably okay for a while, keep an eye out for sales. Never hurts to have a spare PSU. If I recall the 5700X3D only pulls like 60W while gaming. 4070Ti Super is 285W max, with potential power spikes higher. Rest of the system might amount to 100W.

How much power the GPU draws depends on what you have it doing. If you are running G-Sync/V-Sync at 1080p 60hz then it is basically idling.

Have you measured your actual power draw?

Remember, recommendations are generally meant to cover all scenarios. If you decide to do a full workstation like task for hours at a time, then I would say the PSU is undersized.

No I have not measured the draw. I suppose that would be the first logical step. Thank you for your input. Ordering a meter on Amazon now.
