So I was attempting to upgrade my 2x4b gskill ddr3 kit to a 2x8gb kingston ddr3 kit. I can't get to POST with the kingston ram in place. I get an error code C1 on my motherboard (z68x-ud7-b3) which is a RAM detection error. I double checked my bios is the latest one available and I've tried each stick individually in each slot with a bios reset in between to the same effect. Any ideas?

Solution
What set of Kingston sticks? If they are the Fury, they operate off PnP and it may not have the support programmed into the BIOS. Also what CPU?

Kingston HyperX 1866Mhz 2x8Gb DDR3 kit. I don't have a specific model number or anything is that enough to go off?

CPU is a i7-2600k

I'll give this ago, though I assume I'll need to hang onto some RAM to be able to do this again any time I need to reset BIOS.
