Upgrading RAM & HDD

So I need to upgrade my RAM and HDD and i'm thinking of getting 16gb of HyperX Fury and a WD blue hard drive.
Is it just as easy to switch out RAM? And how would i go about moving all the data from one hard drive to another?

Clone the HDD and Ram is super easy to switch out.

First verify that the HyperX Fury RAM is compatible with your motherboard. In the past 8 months, I've personally come in contact with 3 separate motherboards that would not accept that HyperX Fury crap.
