I know it can be bad to mix and match ram so i'm wondering how I would find out what kind of ram to buy for my computer. Here's my computer-https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-xtreme-vr-desktop-intel-core-i5-8gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-1tb-hard-drive-black-blue/5712949.p?skuId=5712949

some woulda argue that trying to mix and match RAM is risky. I'm one of them. Try to determine a whose motherboard is in the case (this is a fun way of doing it: https://www.howtogeek.com/208420/how-to-check-your-motherboard-model-number-on-your-windows-pc/). You should find a name/model/Part number on it that you can google.

from that you find the fastest RAM the board will take (I'm betting 2133 or 2400), then buy 2x8GB sticks and sell your old RAM on eBay.

BTW, I found this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/questions/cyberpowerpc-gamer-xtreme-vr-desktop-intel-core-i5-8gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-1tb-hard-drive-black-blue/5712949?page=4 by googling the model number of your computer. Live and learnm.
