Hello, I want to upgrade my 8gb RAM to 16gb.

My MOBO is: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2PT and the processor is AMD FX-4300 @3.8ghz

The video card will soon be a GTX 1050 ti 4gb SC

I read on my mobo website that it supports 16gb but I need help figuring out what will work in this mobo. Maybe someone could help me out or link me some deals on newegg for some memory that will work with this system? Thanks so much for the help.

Buying RAM is like buying a bikini top .... Never buy a top that only has one cup ... ! Never purchase RAM that doesn't come with at least two sticks in the package. You may be able mix sets but it's not always going to end well.
on that mainboard will work for sure ddr3 1600mhz

since you have one moduel already, it would be good to get another identical one to get it to work in dual channel to improve system performance

that or buy a 2x8 gbs kit form corsair, kingston or any other big brand

now, 16 gbs of ram on that platform, well, the mainboard will only let you upgrade to a fx 6300 for sure, perhaps a 8350 and that is not completely sure

too much ram on a system that might get replace in the near future, as you already are doing it with the new gtx
