[SOLVED] Upgrading RAM with different speeds

My PC currently has 8GB of ram. I'm thinking of upgrading to 16GB as 8gb is not enough to run multiple programs. I currently have Crucial 8GB DDR3. (or something like that) with 1600 MHz. Can I use a Kingston 8GB DDR3 with 1333 MHz? will it work? thanks

It may or may not work.

You have to try it to find out.

I think that if it works it will probably run at 1333 MHz.

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently on a very low budget. So I might save for the 1600 MHz one. If I'd buy 1600 MHz one, would it work? or the same thing?

If you buy the 1600 MHz one...same thing as far as...you will have to try it....but if it works I think they will likely run at 1600 MHz.

Just FYI.....most of the time....when I mix memory like this....it works.
