I've had my Pc for about 5 years now (used to have the 780Ti) and its become lackluster. there has been many improvements in GPU,CPU and motherboards etc and I would pretty much want to rebuild my Rig. I'm from the UK, im sure that makes a difference in price.
My parts are as follows:
The green text meaning i could downgrade to i7 but upgrade my GPU
Which out of the two would be a better build? i only run at 1080 144HZ but may get a 1440p monitor very soon. Would it be better to get the i7 and then a better GPU at a later date? I could also sell my 1060.
Please let me know your thoughts and if you have any other suggestions.

£998 / £1318 (Want to spend around 1k)
