hello i got a ryzen 7 3700x for like $250 with AC vallhalla. so i am upgrading my ryzen 5 3600 on an asrock x570 phantom gaming mobo. my question is will this cpu just pop in and work or will i need to do some driver updates or other things to make it work properly? im air cooled with deepcool gammax gte, and zotac 2070super twin fan if that matters. thanks.

Solution
I went from 2700x to a 3700x yesterday on a Tuf x570 plus wifi and I didnt have to do anything but pop it in and boot up. The 3700x actually allowed me to use my vengence pro ram at 3200 with the docp profile with no problems. The 2700x wouldnt post on docp
No wonder when you have x570, if it was 400 series you would need BIOS update.

Just swap them out and you should be good.
