I have a Intel Pentium E5300 and i want to upgrade.
My motherboard is an Intel 0C27W. I'm looking for something around 50 USD
Is it worth upgrading from the E5300? Or should I just stick with it until I can buy a newer CPU / motherboard / RAM?
Is it possible to get a quad core processor that will work in my motherboard. I have a 600W PSU and no power heavy graphics card so power draw should be no problem.

Attached are some maybe helpful-ish information:

Unless it's preventing you from doing something you absolutely *need* to do and the upgrade allows you do to that thing, it's way too late to be talking about a same-platform upgrade of a 775 rig. This is a conversation that likely would have gotten a different answer in 2010 or 2011, but it's 2017 now and unless you can find it dirt cheap and are positive about compatibility, it's just not worth the bother anymore.

Definitely keep it. Been there a LONG time ago. Baby-steps are wasteful with PC's.
