Upgrading storage .

Hi i want to upgrade my storage for a fairly cheap price.

I ended with these drives:
Crucial MX300 275 GB SSD
Seagate BarraCuda 2 TB Hard Drive
Total price on alternate.be is 151€

Would this be a good choice?
And are SATA cables delivered with the drives or do i buy them seperately?

Yes, that is a good combination.
SATA cables may or may not be included. You'll have to look specifically as to the list of "included in the box".

The cables should of come with your Motherboard/PSU.

There were no SATA cables included with my motherboard. i didnt buy the psu myself tho, it was premade...
Theres no info about the cables being included.

The PSU will have enough SATA power connections.

SATA data cables are cheap. Buy several:

I just found 2 sata cables XD , so there were 2 included but i threw them in the wrong box . . ., the SATA cables go into the psu? i thought they went into the mobo

The SATA data cables you hold in your hand got from the drives to the motherboard.
From the PSU, there are also power cables that connect to the drives as well.

What drive(s) do you have in the system now?
Connect them exactly like that one.


Next question - What are you planning on doing about getting the OS and everything else on these two new drives?

Two different kinds, SATA Data & Sata Power, both needed to use the drives.

The connections for the cables/drives are pretty distinct.

withouth opening my case i can see the side of one of the cable ports thingys and it has 4 dots, i have to have aSATA cable from that into my HDD right?
