My pc spec, build on 2014

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i5 4690 @ 3.50GHz Haswell 22nm Technology
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. H97-PRO GAMER (SOCKET 1150)
(OLD GPU) 3072MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (Sapphire/PCPartner)
(NEW GPU) GALAX GeForce® GTX 1660 Ti (1-Click OC)
6GB GDDR6 192-bit DP/HDMI/DVI-D
111GB INTEL SSDSC2BW120A4 SCSI Disk Device (SSD)
465GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKX-00ERM SCSI Disk Device (SATA)

Hi, good day,
Currently, my GPU is damage. Didn't know what the cause, it dont detect the HDMI input, try on another rig also same. So, i want to upgrade to another GPU.

My question is, should i upgrade to galax 1660ti, or go for another GPU? Will it be huge bottleneck? Gaming for couple of years ahead (2, 3 years). Thanks!

As long as you stay within 1080p screen resolution, you should be fine. Hard to comment whether it's going to be future-proof, because this depends on the type of game being played as well.

Anyways, like I mentioned above,
You should be fine, as long any game is not that much taxing on the CPU:

Yep, will be staying on 1080p, coz my rig is always connected to my tv. I dont use the pc monitor 😂
