upgrading the processor

Solution
Laptop processors are more often than not are soldered to the motherboard. Therefore they can not be replaced or upgraded without replacing the full board. That rises the costs. The laptop has an i5-3317U variant, though I doubt you will find a reseller with a brand new motherboard for such an old laptop. Sorry.
