Question Upgrading Threadripper 1950x

Considering an upgrade to my now 6 year old Threadripper 1950x.
Kind of limited as to what my upgrade path is with my current motherboard.

Considering the 2950 but benchmarks show on ly minimal improvement.

Threadripper has mostly been abandoned, on the enthusiast level. You are best starting over, with a whole new platform. AM4 is a very cost efficient option, if you have 4 sticks, or less, on ram. A 5950x will smoke a 1st or 2nd gen threadripper. 13900k, on a DDR4 capable Z790 board is another very solid option, and is even faster than a 5950x. DDR5 13th gen, or AM5, are options as well, if you want to start from scratch. DDR5 has higher ram capacities, than ddr4. AM5 has the best future upgrade support.
